A local court in Bukuru, Jos South Local Government Area, Plateau State, has ordered police to unseal the state’s 17 local government secretariats.
The Daily Post recalls that State Police Commissioner Bartholomew Onyeka secured all secretariats in June, following Governor Caleb Mutuwang’s suspension of elected chairmen and councilors.
The commissioner stated that the secretariats were enclosed to prevent party supporters from disrupting law and order.
