PAUL, Minnesota — Saturday night, a woman was wounded in the hand outside a gas station in St. Paul, according to police.
At 9:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Holiday gas station near Rice and Winter Streets in the Capitol neighborhood for a reported gunshot.
Officers quickly discovered that the shooter had left the victim approximately one-mile southeast at the intersection of St. Paul and West Exchange streets downtown. She was transported to Regions Hospital for medical care.
The perpetrator was quickly apprehended after his vehicle was discovered abandoned in the Payne-Phalen neighborhood on the east side of the city.
Police continue their investigation.
