At least 4 people were killed in a mass shooting in a city in western Georgia; the suspect is still at large.

A mass shooting occurred early on Saturday in Hampton, a small city in western Georgia, leaving at least four people dead.

At a news conference on Saturday night, law authorities named Hampton resident Andre Longmore as a suspect in the deaths.

According to authorities, Longmore opened fire at roughly 10:45 am, killing four people—three men and one woman. The victims’ identities were withheld pending notification of relatives.

“Hampton is having a sad day today. The shootings are out of the ordinary for us, and as a community, we will grieve together, according to Hampton Police Department Chief James Turner. The police department promises to exert every effort to see that the offender is prosecuted.

If Longmore is related to any of the victims, investigators are looking into it. There was no apparent indication of a motive for the shootings on Saturday.

At least four active crime scenes are involved in the investigation into the shootings, according to Turner.
