Earlier this year, Brazil won the South American Under-20 championship, and Roque led all goal scorers with six goals.
Barcelona has agreed to acquire Brazilian club Athletico Paranaense’s 18-year-old forward Vitor Roque.
The seven-year agreement, which will start in 2024, has a 500 million euro (£427 million) buyback clause.
Roque, who played for Paranaense and scored 22 goals in 66 games, made his international debut for Brazil in March.
I’m thrilled to sign with Barca, he wrote on Twitter. It’s a fantasy realized.
According to reports, the teenage forward would cost the Spanish champions 30 million euros (£25.6 million), with a further 31 million euros (£26.4 million) in prospective add-ons.
At the South American Under-20 championship earlier this year, Roque led all scorers with six goals as Brazil captured their 12th trophy.
He also aided Paranaense in their season-ending run to the Copa Libertadores final.
