All 18 Ghana Premier League clubs are set to receive a sum of GHS50,000 from the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS), information gathered from Accra-based Angel FM has revealed.
Prior to the commencement of the 2020/2021 Ghanaian top-flight league season, the government through the Ministry announced that spectators will not be allowed into the stadia.
With the banning of fans, clubs are envisaged to be financially weak due to the fact that they will not be earning any money from gate proceeds.
Today, information picked up from Accra-based Angel FM has disclosed that Premier League clubs are set to receive a financial boost from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
According to the report, a sum of GHS50,000 has been agreed upon following a meeting between the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) and the MoYS.
The amount is expected to cut down the cost of the clubs in the ongoing football season.
