Ghanaian international, Gideon Mensah has set his sight on developing his game after securing a permanent deal with Swedish outfit Varbergs BOIS FC
The former Ghana U-20 defender joined the club on loan from FC Nordsjaelland in August this year but has seen his stay made permanent today on the back of an outstanding display in the last few months.
Speaking to the media team of Varbergs BOIS FC after signing the 3-year contract, a delighted Gideon Mensah says it is his goal to continue working to ensure he develops to help the team.
“The goal is always to develop on both a personal level and together with the team. Now we will try to secure the contract in the Allsvenskan 2021, win the matches we can, and stay.
“In the coming years and in the future, it is higher goals that apply, and that both myself and the team develop”, Gideon Mensah said as quoted on the website of Varbergs BOIS FC.
According to his manager Joakim “Jocke” Persson, the youngster has displayed great talent and will become a top footballer in the future.
“We’ve gotten to know him for a while and it feels like a pretty safe card. Gideon has a good longer game, is physically strong, has the speed, and is good on the head. He has all the attributes that I think a young promising midfielder should have and is an extremely talented player. He has also blended in nicely and thrives well in the team”, the Varbergs BOIS FC manager said.
