Fatau Dauda Replaces Suspended Richard Ofori For Ghana’s Trip To Sudan

Legon Cities FC goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda has been handed a late call-up to replace Richard Ofori ahead of Ghana’s trip to Sudan.

The Black Stars are set to travel o Khartoum today ahead of a meeting with the counterparts of Sudan in the qualifiers for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Due to a booking, Richard Ofori picked up last Thursday when Ghana defeated Sudan at the Cape Coast Stadium in the first of the two ties, he is suspended for the reverse fixture.

Today, the Ghana FA has announced that experienced goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has been invited to replace the Orlando Pirates goalkeeper in the Black Stars.

“Legon Cities goalkeeper Fatau Dauda has been called up to replace Richard Ofori for the trip to Sudan.

“Fatau thus gets the nod to travel with the team for the reverse fixture scheduled for Omdurman, Khartoum on Tuesday, November 17, 2020,” a statement from the GFA has said today.
