Rapper Yaw Tog has now revealed what led to rumors that he was associated with the Kumasi-based band Asakaa Boys.
He claims it all began when he declined their offer to sign a record deal with Life Living Life Records.
Yaw Tog clarified the situation in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, stating, “I don’t have issues with the Asakaa Boys, but I don’t know if they have any issues with me. I’m cisgender. I’m just trying to get by and live my life.”
He continued, “We are not friends, and the last time we saw each other was at Wizkid’s concert. I’m done now. We are hip.

When Andy Dosty recounted instances in which certain members of the business attempted to make amends, Yaw Tog said: “It wasn’t a big deal. It was something analogous to wanting to sign me to Life Living Records after I had started working there but the contract wasn’t going smoothly.
The rapper Sore revealed that his manager decided against signing the contract because it wouldn’t benefit him.
“My manager was against and said we couldn’t sign this contract, but he assured them I’d be there whenever they needed me, but one of them said if that’s the case, they won’t work with me any more.”
Yaw Tog concluded the Asakaa controversy by saying, “I was only trying to find my way. I didn’t want someone else to use my money for their own purposes.
