Gov. Yusuf Announces Appointments For Kano Institutions And Agencies

The governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has announced the appointment of a number of government agency and institution leaders.

Monday’s post via his verified social media handle contained the announcement.

Yusuf stated that the appointments were made to increase government efficiency.

Governor’s appointments include Hon. Kabiru Getso Haruna, Executive Secretary of the Kano State Scholarship Board; Dr. Aliyu Isa Aliyu, Director General of the Kano State Bureau of Statistics; Dr. Kabiru Ado Zakirai, Executive Secretary of the Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board (KSSMB); and Hon. Alkasim Hussain Wudil, Coordinator of the Aliko Dangote Skills Acquisition Centre.

Farouq Abdu Sumaila, Executive Secretary of the Kano State Guidance and Counseling Board, Alh. Umar Shehu Minjibir, Chairman of the Kano State Civil Service Commission, and CP Kabiru Muhammad Gwarzo, Retired Director General of the Kano State Corporate Security Institute, Gabasawa, are also included.

The statement read, “In our determination to guarantee a more effective governance in Kano. I’ve approved the following appointments to lead government agencies and institutions:

• Kabiru Getso Haruna, Executive Secretary, Kano State Scholarship Board.
• Aliyu Isa Aliyu, Director General, Kano State Bureau of Statistics.
• Kabiru Ado Zakirai, Executive Secretary, Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board (KSSMB).
• Alkasim Hussain Wudil, Coordinator, Aliko Dangote Skills Acquisition Centre.
• Farouq Abdu Sumaila, Executive Secretary, Kano State Guidance and Counselling Board.
• Umar Shehu Minjibir, Chairman, Kano State Civil Service Commission.
• CP Kabiru Muhammad Gwarzo, Rtd. Director General, Kano State Corporate Security Institute, Gabasawa.
• Abdullahi Garba Ali, Director, Kano Informatics Institute, Kura.
• Hajia Shema’u Aliyu, Director, Kano State Institute of Hospitality Management.
• Musa Sa’ad Muhammad, Director State Sports Institute, Karfi.
• Abubakar Shehu Minjibir, Director, Kano State Institute of Development Journalism.
• Abdullahi S. Abdulkadir, Director, Kano State Institute of Farm Mechanisation, Kadawa.
• Jazuli Muhammad Bichi, Director, Kano State Institute of Livestock, Gargai.
• Maigari Indabawa, Director, Kano State Film Institute, Tiga.
