I Never Wanted To Leave Kotoko – Patrick Yeboah

Free-agent Patrick Yeboah says it was never his intention to sever ties with Ghana Premier League giants, Asante Kotoko.

As reported in the last few days, the Porcupine Warriors club has terminated the contract of the defender and will head into the new football season without the former Karela United man.

Opening up on his exit from Asante Kotoko, Patrick Yeboah says he is not happy he has left the club in this manner. However, he is keeping his focus and will prove that he is a better player.

“It’s not my will to leave the club, I am not happy at all but I have to take the challenge to prove to people that I am a better player who’s not giving enough time to prove my wealth”, Patrick Yeboah said in an interview with Kumasi FM.

According to the defender, regardless of what has happened, he has no issues with Asante Kotoko head coach Maxwell Konadu.

“I do not have any problem with Coach Maxwell Konadu and I cannot say he was unfair to me. There are certain things I cannot say on air but everyone who was present at our training grounds can attest to my performance, my training was even better than my performance during matches”, Yeboah noted.
