Evans Ogenyi has been appointed as the new Head Coach of Rivers United of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Ogenyi inked his contract with Kano Pillars following the club’s promotion.
The former Warri Wolves head coach will replace Fatai Osho, who departed the club at the conclusion of the 2022–23 NPFL season.
Ogenyi claimed that joining the Stanley Eguma-led coaching staff was a straightforward decision.

“After speaking with Coach Stanley Eguma, it was a no-brainer to join the coaching staff here,” he said on the club’s website.
“It’s an exciting time to join this wonderful team, and I look forward to working more closely with everyone on and off the field.
“I love this club, and it’s such a great feeling to be here.”
