old pension scheme: Maharashtra government staff to begin indefinite strike for old pension scheme


Round 18 lakh Maharashtra executive staff will start an indefinite strike from Monday middle of the night after talks with the state executive on reintroducing the outdated pension scheme failed. The Maharashtra State Executive Staff Federation has mentioned the strike will proceed until the state agreed to reintroduce OPS.

“The talks have failed and so we’re occurring an indefinite strike from middle of the night; 18 lakh staff, together with executive and semi executive staff, sanatorium workforce and sanitation staff would participate within the strike,” mentioned Vishwas Katkar of the Rajya Sarkari Karmachari Madhyavarti Sanghatana, an umbrella frame of state executive worker unions.
