Huw Edwards’ wife identified him as the BBC presenter under investigation for payments for pornographic photos and claimed he is receiving in-patient hospital care.
A BBC internal inquiry was able to continue when the Metropolitan Police declared that Mr. Edwards had not broken any laws and that no further police action would be taken “at this time.”
In an internal memo, the director general of the BBC stated: “At the heart of this are people and their families,” adding that it is now “important” that the BBC inquiry continues.
