Teenager Jérémy Doku has acknowledged that the French Ligue 1 is a level higher than the Belgian Pro League but says he is ready for the challenge that awaits him after joining Stade Rennais FC.
The Belgian-born attacker who is of Ghanaian descent after several links to a host of European clubs has finally signed for the Ligue 1 outfit on a 5-year contract from RSC Anderlecht.
Speaking in his first interview, a delighted Jérémy Doku says he cannot wait to get started at his new club.
“I am very happy to sign for a club like Stade Rennais FC. I am very impatient. I just want to be on the field and play”, the exciting forward said as quoted on the website of Stade Rennais.
Jérémy Doku further noted that he knows what he can do and is ready for the next challenge of his career in the Ligue 1.
“Ligue 1 is a higher level than the Jupiler Pro League. I’ll have to show what I’m capable of, but I’m ready”, Doku concluded.
