StarTimes have waved into the ongoing impasse between Asante Kotoko and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) as they call on fans of the Porcupine Warriors club to stay calm.
There is currently tension between the Ghanaian giants and the GFA after the attempts by the former to record their match against Techiman Eleven Wonders last Sunday were thwarted by officials of the country’s football governing body.
While the back and forth looks set to continue, StarTimes Ghana has urged fans of Asante Kotoko to stay calm while the parties involved sort things out.
“We understand the sentiments of all Asante Kotoko fans but we implore you to stay calm and enjoy the GPL on StarTimes,” the broadcasters posted on their Twitter page on Thursday.
The post adds, “The Ghana Football Association will handle the trending issue while we endeavour to bring you the best coverage of THE ONLY LEAGUE THAT MATTERS.”
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko is requesting from the GFA to provide a copy of the contract with StarTimes.
