tarun kapoor: Tarun Kapoor appointed as adviser to PM Modi


New Delhi: Former petroleum secretary Tarun Kapoor has been appointed as adviser to Top Minister Narendra Modi amongst many top-level bureaucratic appointments. Kapoor, a 1987-batch IAS officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre, superannuated on November 30, 2021.

“The Appointments Committee of the Cupboard has authorized appointment of Kapoor as adviser to the Top Minister, within the Top Minister’s Place of job (PMO), within the rank and scale of secretary to Executive of India, first of all for 2 years from the date of becoming a member of,” the federal government stated in an order on Monday.

Gyanesh Kumar, a 1988-batch IAS officer of the Kerala cadre, has been appointed as secretary, Ministry of Cooperation.

Alkesh Kumar Sharma, lately secretary (Coordination), within the cupboard secretariat will take over as secretary within the ministry of electronics and data era (Meity).

Pradip Kumar Tripathi, secretary, Division of Group of workers and Coaching (DoPT), is going as secretary, (Coordination) within the Cupboard Secretariat.

S Radha Chauhan, a 1988-batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre would be the new DoPT secretary rather than Tripathi.

SKG Rahate, further secretary within the ministry of energy has been appointed as secretary, Division of Justice, Ministry of Legislation and Justice.
